Thursday was another full day at Disneyland (and California Adventure). Initially Tim thought to go to Los Angeles (to see Griffith Park and the Space Shuttle at the Science Center) on Thursday. But the consensus was another day at Disneyland.
Sarah was able to join us in the morning. She had to leave part way through the day so she could go to her evening class. Nicole finished work at 2:00 PM; Jason was able to get off early (at 2 PM); Victoria was done with her class. So the three of them along with Justin picked up Joanna from work (she got off an hour and a half early) to join us at Disneyland.
It was HOT! Sunny with a high of 96 F. They were able to do Grizzly River Run to try and cool off a bit. This was unlike Monday and Tuesday when the highs were in the 70s.
We celebrated the final evening with the cousins with a sit-down dinner at a nice restaurant in Downtown Disney, Tortilla Jo’s. Besides traditional Mexican dishes, they had a nice selection of vegan options. Plus Jason was able to enjoy his (real) fish tacos!
We took a lunch break in California Adventure.
We headed to Space Mountain in Disneyland.
We met up with the rest of the family while Sarah headed home. Now back to California Adventure to cool off!
After most people did the Hollywood Tower Hotel, we escaped from the heat inside of Starbucks.
We walked to Tortilla Jo’s for supper.
A balloon artist made some creations for Jessica and Josiah.
After supper, we headed back to California Adventure to use our Fast Passes for Radiator Springs Racers (one of the most popular rides in the park). Then back to the California Screamin’ rollercoaster. Although we were planning to catch the Fantasmic show at 9:00 PM, one group (including the cousins) headed home. The rest stayed and did Midway Mania a few more times.
