The hike to Taft Point was 1.1 miles from the parking area (AKA the trailhead). It was an easy hike that had minimal elevation gain. Because we were at a higher elevation (about 7,500 feet above sea level) and because it was getting close to sundown, the temperature was pleasant. The scenery was beautiful.
